Some people have stereotypes of what stay at home moms do all day. I used to have some of my own when I was a career mom. Now that I have switched roles, I view things totally different.
My typical day with my son goes something like this: getting dressed, breakfast, playtime, lunch, nap, snack, playtime, dinner, playtime, bath, story, prayer, bed. I try to keep a regular schedule for my son because it helps our day to go a little bit smoother.
Throughout the day, I attempt to teach my son different age appropriate activities. He’s learning how to hold up one finger to tell people how old he is. I teach him several songs with cute little hand motions. Right now, his favorite is Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star. For some reason, he gets a kick out of the “up above the world so high” part. His favorite word to try and say is “Triangle,” but it actually sounds like “do-dah-diggle.”
It is a joy to see my child learning to do so many new things. He’s a blessing, packed full of daily surprises. I laugh all the time at the funny things that he does.
