Nothing reminds you that tomorrow is not promised like the death of three entertainers within three days.
Ed McMahon passed away on June 23rd. Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson passed away within hours of each other on June 25th. These three people were very influential and known all over the world.
Ed McMahon launched many singing careers with Star Search. He was also known for his role on the “Tonight Show.”
Farrah Fawcett was known for her beauty and acting roles. She was best known in her role in Charlie’s Angels.
Michael Jackson sold over 750 million records. People would faint at his concerts because they were so in awe of him.
Life is short.
The short time span of life is even discussed in the bible:
James 4:14 NLT – How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog – it’s here a little while, then it’s gone.
Kinda sobering isn’t it?
Let’s live each day with purpose, making a conscious effort to focus on the things that are REALLY important: our relationship with God and our family.
Please take time to pray for the McMahon, Fawcett, and Jackson families. They are going to need our prayers of comfort and peace.
