Let’s discuss a few of the deals I found listed in the Sunday Newspaper.

At CVS for this week:

Colgate Total toothpaste is on sale for $2.79. CVS is running a promotion – buy one get one free. So you can get two Colgate toothpastes for $2.79.

But wait, you have coupons!

You did get a Sunday newspaper right?

This Sunday’s newspaper has a coupon in it for $1.00 off Colgate toothpaste. I purchased two Sunday’s newspapers this week (it paid for itself), so I had two $1.00 coupons for Colgate.

You can use two coupons for buy one get one free offers. The two Colgate toothpastes rang up to $2.79. I gave the cashier two $1.00 coupons. I ended up spending $0.79 for two 4.2 ounce Colgate toothpastes. Nice deal, right?

Gillette Fusion manual or power razors for men are $7.99. CVS is giving you $4.00 extra bucks back for your next purchase. I had a coupon from two weeks ago for $3.00 off Gillette Fusion Razors. After my extra bucks for my next purchase and a coupon, I ended up paying $0.99.

Two pocket folders are $0.05 a piece. The limit is 10. The sale on the two pocket folders goes until Tuesday. On Wednesday, they will go to $0.50 a piece. I bought 10 for $0.50.

Borden milk (one gallon) is on sale for $2.69, plus $1.00 extra buck.

At Target:

Electrasol Finish tabs (Dishwasher detergent) are on sale for $3.49. There is a coupon in the Sunday paper for $2.50 off, which would make it $0.99.

Those are the money saving deals of the week. Several of the coupons I used were from previous weeks, so make sure that you save your coupons from week to week.

If you see a coupon on something you like but the coupon amount is small, save it and combine it with a store coupon.

You can also use it at a store that doubles or triple coupons to maximize savings.
