Isn't this just like everything else in life? Things get old after a while like a new car; the newness wears off. Marriage, exercise, healthy eating, even our service to God can grow stale if we aren't careful and keep our priorities in order.

Looooved this post.

@Kim - I cringed when I saw that you get up at 4AM. I'm soooo not a morning person. However, I stay up pretty late. RIght now, it's been working well for me to do it at night before I go to bed.

@Krystal - Good for you! I'm going to get there with you! I like health quotes.

@KK - thanks for the encouragement. Maybe Carly will get you one. :-)

I've been working out 6 days a week pretty consistently for a while now. For me, it was about scheduling a set time for it. I set aside the same time every day for my workouts (the kids' nap), so I'm always ready to do it!

And I LOVE that Edward Stanley line you quoted... I'll have to use that on my fitness blog! =)

Exercise like everything.. is making time for it...for me I found that doing it first thing in the morning helped tremendously... Granted for about 2 wks getting up before any crack of dawn was apparent was difficult, but what I found is I stuck to it more then if I left it for the later part of the day. by 4 or 5pm I had a million excuses for NOT exercising - I've had a bad day, work was tough, I'm tired, I have to do the shopping, I have to cook dinner, etc... but at 4 or 5am...mmm there really was no excuse.. again I admit getting up that early takes some work but I found it to be so worth it.. giving the best part of my day to me... and taking care of the Lord's temple first and foremost...

I hope Santa is bringing a Wii fit for Christmas...
