Today is my one-year blogiversary!
When I wrote my first blog post, I had no idea where it would take me. I wasn’t even sure if I would like blogging. But over time, it became something that I greatly enjoy.
Blogging has helped me to meet some awesome people. Fellow mommies, military spouses, design on a dime decorators, foodies, budding comedians, and a lot more.
My writing skills have improved and networking opportunities have been abundant.
When I started my blog, I had no idea if anyone would read my posts. That actually was part of the reason for my delay in getting started, along with trying to find a blog design and name.
In honor of my one-year blogiversary, I would like to take some time to recognize three of my most faithful blog readers. All three of these ladies have been reading my posts since day one and I really appreciate their support.
- My bonus Mother-in-Law – She faithfully reads my posts every morning. If I go too long without a blog post, she will email me and remind me that I need to get on the ball. She is my blog Drill Sergeant. She usually sends me email responses when I blog about my son.
- My Mom – This is a big deal because my mom was basically computer illiterate before I started blogging. She barely knew what the mouse was. When she found out I had a blog, she asked me to teach her how to get on the “innanet” and pull up websites. After hours and hours of phone instruction, my mom finally learned. She checks my blog everyday and if I mention something serious on my blog that she didn’t know about prior to reading my blog, she lets me know about it!
- Shauna – She’s a fellow military wife and family friend. I never expected her to regularly read my blog posts, but she has been so faithful and supportive. She sends me emails all the time with her commentary on the topic of the day. Shauna, I’m so thankful for your support.
To all of my other faithful readers and commenters, thank you so much for sharing a part of your day with me. I pray that you will continue to be blessed and inspired by Reflections from a Christian Mommy Writer.

That's so nice your mom reads your blog every day! I tried teaching my dad to use the computer, but it was just too hard for him to catch on with all the problems he had. Congrats on your 1 yr. Blogversary!

One year already?! Neat. So glad you listened to my encouragement and got started with your blog. I remember that day in your room as I explained to you about blogging by looking at my blog and sharing with you my experiences about being able to connect with other people even as you were going to a new city and didn't know anyone. See, I got you started on blogging and Facebook and Twitter – and even gave you the picture that you use. Social networking is not bad at all, eh?! Of course, you should know that I wouldn't lead you wrong. Happy to hear that you are having a good time with it now. Let's me know that the time I spent sharing with you wasn't in vain.
